Uninstalling RescueTime

Before uninstalling, quit RescueTime first.

Right-click the RescueTime icon in your menu bar (macOS) or system tray (Windows) and choose Quit. If the app is unresponsive, see Force Quitting RescueTime first.

Windows

Uninstall from the Start menu

Open the Start menu and find RescueTime.

Right-click RescueTime and choose Uninstall.

Uninstall via Control Panel

Open Control Panel and click Uninstall a program.

Find RescueTime in the list and click Uninstall.

Follow the prompts to complete the uninstall. This removes the app and all its configuration files.


macOS

Move RescueTime to the Trash

Open Finder → Applications, find RescueTime, and drag it to the Trash.

Remove configuration files

Delete RescueTime's configuration files to fully remove it from your Mac.

In Finder, hold Option and click Go in the menu bar, then select Library.

Find the RescueTime folder and drag it to the Trash.
