How to uninstall RescueTime

Uninstalling RescueTime

Windows

1. Quit RescueTime:
   • In the RescueTime Assistant, click the gear icon and select "Quit RescueTime."
   • If needed, force quit using Task Manager:
     • Press CTRL + ALT + Delete → Select Task Manager → Find RescueTime → Click End Task
2. Uninstall the App:
   • From the Start menu:
     • Right-click RescueTime → Click Uninstall
   • Or through Control Panel:
     • Open Control Panel → Click Uninstall a Program
     • Find RescueTime → Click Uninstall

This process removes the RescueTime app and all its configuration files from your computer.

Mac

1. Quit RescueTime:
   • In the RescueTime Assistant, click the gear icon and select "Quit RescueTime."
   • If needed, force quit:
     • Click the Apple icon → Select Force Quit → Choose RescueTime
     • Or, open Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities), find RescueTime, click the X icon, and select Force Quit
2. Uninstall the App:
   • Open Finder → Click Applications
   • Drag RescueTime to the Trash
3. Remove Configuration Files (Optional):
   • In Finder, hold OPTION while clicking Go in the menu bar
   • Select Library → Find the RescueTime folder
   • Drag it to the Trash

This will completely remove RescueTime and its settings from your Mac.
