How can I force quit RescueTime if the app is unresponsive?

Windows

Open the Task Manager by right-clicking your taskbar and selecting Start >Task Manager. Click the Processes tab and look for "RescueTime.exe" in the list. Select it and choose End Process either by using the button on the bottom right of the window or by right-clicking the process name and selecting End Process from the menu.

Alternatively, open the Task Manager by pressing ctrl+alt+delete on your keyboard and choosing "Task Manager" from the options that appear.

Mac

Click the Apple menu and choose "Force Quit" from the dropdown menu. A list of running programs and applications will appear. Look for RescueTime, select it, and click the Force Quit button.

Open Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor. A list of running programs and applications will appear. Look for RescueTime, select it, and click the X button at the top of the window.

Press Command + Option + Escape to open the Force Quit menu. Select the unresponsive application from the list. Click Force Quit.

Note: Be sure to quit RescueTime before attempting to uninstall the app.
