Problems with Focus Session site blocking
Your web browser gets "stuck" blocking distracting websites, even after the Focus Session ends
Start another focus session for 1 minute by creating a custom-length Focus Session. Click the RescueTime icon in your system tray or Menu Bar, click "Get Focused" and choose "Custom..."—then create a 1-minute session.
Force-quit RescueTime by using Task Manager or Activity Monitor.
Sites are not being blocked during a Focus Session
If you are using Firefox on OS X and sites are not being blocked, you will need the Firefox browser extension for Focus Sessions to work.
A site that you think should be blocked isn't.
RescueTime will block sites that you have visited in the last three months that have been scored as "Personal" or "Distracting" either by you or as its default setting.
If you see a site not being blocked that you think should be, first check your Personal Report or Distracting Report and make sure the site is listed.
To find the site, you may need to adjust the date controls and go back further in time to find it. If you don't see it, then it's either scored as something other than "Distracting" or "Personal" or you haven't visited the site in the last three months. In the latter situation, the next time you start a Focus Session the site should be blocked since you've just visited it. Otherwise, change the productivity of the site to "Distracting" or "Personal" on your Categorize Activities page.
