Manually updating RescueTime

RescueTime updates automatically in the background. If you need to update manually, you can do so in two ways:

Option 1: Check for updates in the app

  1. Open the Assistant settings
  2. Click Check for updates
  3. If an update is available, follow the prompts to install it

Option 2: Reinstall the latest version

  1. Download the latest version of RescueTime: https://www.rescuetime.com/get_rescuetime
  2. Open the downloaded file (usually in your Downloads folder)
  3. Run the installer and follow the setup steps
  4. Restart your computer after installation
