Can I manually update RescueTime?

Usually, your application will self-update to the latest version. But sometimes you may want to hurry it along in this process or be stuck on an old version for some reason. To manually update the application do the following:

  1. Download the latest version.
  2. Re-run the downloaded installer.

Sometimes, depending on the browser you use, you may need to log out and log in from your system user session. It may force a reset of all browser windows so that the updated RescueTime can properly interact with the browser. As always, you can "just reboot" to accomplish this too.
