Assistant Alert Feeds
Your Assistant will show your daily alert feeds to help you navigate through your work day.
This includes your Morning Briefing, Join Meeting, Focus Zones, Goals and Alerts, Calendar and Break Alerts, Timesheets for your Review, and Monthly Review.
Morning Briefing
You'll see this at the beginning of your work day. This is your agenda for the day based on your work schedule, connected calendar (Google and/or Outlook), and work behavior.
Join Meeting
If you're in a meeting and your calendar is connected to RescueTime, you should see a meeting pinned alert display approximately five minutes before the meeting. If there is a Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams link in the calendar event, you'll see the Join meeting button. Clicking this button will take you directly to the meeting app.
If your meeting ends early, you can click This meeting ended early button and you'll be back in the main menu of the Assistant.
This will not update your scheduled meeting time. You'll need to update your calendar for this time to be reflected on your Timesheets.
Focus Zone
A Focus Zone is a time that RescueTime recommends you start a Focus Session. This is based on your work behavior, work schedule, and connected calendar. It's a focus opportunity that is part of your agenda in your morning briefing. You can conveniently click on the Start a Focus Session button to start it. Clicking on the Join Workspace button will take you to RescueTime's Workfrom room to focus with other peers.
Goals and Alerts
Your goals and alerts come from the goals and alerts that you set up. When a goal and alert is achieved you'll receive an alert on your Assistant and via email depending on how you set up your notifications. Depending on whether you enabled blocking in your alert setup, this will trigger websites and apps to be automatically blocked for a set time.
Calendar Alert
If you have a connected calendar to RescueTime and you set up an automatic Focus Session in your calendar, then you'll receive an alert about your Focus Session starting. During this time your distracting websites and applications are blocked.
Break Alert
If you work outside of your work hours then you'll see an alert to remind you that it's time to take a break.
Timesheets to Review
Depending on your Delivery Schedule on your Timesheets Settings, you'll be alerted with a reminder to review your Timesheets at the end of the day or the next morning. Clicking the link will take you to your Timesheets for the day.
Daily Review
Your end of day summary report provides you with a summary of your computer activities for the day. It covers the time you've dedicated to focused work, how frequently you've engaged in personal activities and communication, and highlights your most significant activities in both areas. This review is usually scheduled for the end of your workday, but you have the option to customize the timing in your Account Settings > Work Schedule, under the "Delivery time of daily report" section.
Monthly Review
At the beginning of the month, you'll receive a monthly review summary to view on your dashboard for the prior month to get an understanding of your progress.
