Launching RescueTime Automatically on Startup
RescueTime can open automatically when you turn on or log into your computer.
This is usually set up during installation, but you can turn it on or off at any time.
Turn on automatic startup
Press Windows + R to open the Run window.
Type shell:startup into the box and click OK. This opens your Startup folder.
Create a shortcut to RescueTime inside this folder. RescueTime will now open automatically every time you start your computer.
Turn off automatic startup
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and open Task Manager, or open it from the Start menu.
Click the Startup tab.
Find RescueTime in the list and click Disable.
Turn on automatic startup
Open System Settings → General → Login Items.
Click the + button, find RescueTime in your Applications folder, and click Open.
RescueTime will now open automatically every time you log in.
Turn off automatic startup
In System Settings → General → Login Items, select RescueTime and click the - button.
RescueTime must be in your Applications folder. Automatic startup on macOS only works if the app has been moved to your Applications folder rather than run from a different folder.
