Managing Your Billing and Payment Settings
Everything related to billing is found in Account Settings > Billing.
From there you can change your billing cycle, update your payment method, manage invoices, and clear your payment information.
RescueTime offers two billing cycle options: monthly and annual. To switch, select your preferred plan and click Switch plans. For what happens to your billing date when you change cycles, see How Billing Works.
On the Billing page, click the (update) link next to your payment method. A pop-up opens where you can switch to a different payment method or update your billing information. Enter your new details, then click Update.
Have a coupon code? If you clear a coupon from the Billing page, it cannot be added back. Contact RescueTime support before removing a coupon if you are unsure.
Past invoices
At the bottom of the Billing page you'll find a link to your past invoices.
Invoice receipts
To have invoices sent automatically to an address other than your RescueTime account email, add one or more addresses to the Send invoice receipts to field on the Billing page.
Invoice notes
You can add custom text to your invoices using the Invoice notes field on the Billing page. Anything you enter here appears on every invoice: business name, VAT or tax ID, billing address, or any other details your accounting team needs.
💡 Tip. If you need invoices addressed to a company rather than your personal name, add the company name and any relevant details here. Changes apply to future invoices only.
Clearing your payment information requires canceling your subscription first. On your Billing page, click the cancel my subscription link on the right side of the page. Once your subscription is canceled, the option to clear your payment information appears. Click the (clear) link found under your current payment information.
